1. The program

Alvarez Brothers Inc., which runs Lawnade Lawn Care and Cookies Christmas Lights ("we", "us"), offers this referral program so customers and friends of the business ("you", a "promoter") can earn rewards for introducing new customers. One account covers both brands. By creating an account or using a referral link you agree to these terms.

2. Who can join

You must be at least 18 years old, able to enter a contract, and give us accurate information. One account per person. Our employees may join only when we say so in writing.

3. What counts as a referral

A referral counts when a person you introduce asks us for service through your personal link or the text you send from the app, and is a new customer — someone we have not done paid work for before.

The first promoter to refer a person within 180 days gets the credit. Referring yourself, your household, or someone who was already our customer does not count.

A referral earns a reward once that customer's first job is completed and paid. We decide whether a referral qualifies using our own records, and our decision is final.

4. Rewards

The current rewards are shown in your account (today: $50 for each new Cookies customer, $50 for each new Lawnade customer). We may change the amounts at any time; a change applies to referrals made after it.

You may take a reward as account credit, which is worth 2× the reward, applied to a future invoice for your own service. Where we offer it, you may instead take a gift card or a cash payout, sent by email through our payout partner after we approve it. We may set a minimum before a payout is sent.

Account credit has no cash value, can't be transferred or sold, and isn't refunded if you stop using our services. Rewards may be held or removed for a referral that is reversed, refunded, or made in breach of these terms.

5. Sharing the right way

Share with people you know, and be honest about our services. Don't spam, post your link where it isn't welcome, buy ads on our names or search terms, pretend to be us, use fake accounts or automated tools, or offer anything we haven't approved.

When you send a referral from the app, the text goes from your own phone. Only text people who would want to hear from you. We contact your friend only after they ask us to.

6. Taxes

You are responsible for any taxes on rewards. If the cash and gift-card rewards we pay you in a year reach the IRS reporting threshold, we may ask for a W-9 and send you a Form 1099. We may hold payouts until we have what the law requires.

7. Messages from us

By joining, you agree that we may text and email you about your account — sign-in codes, rewards, payouts and referral updates. Message and data rates may apply. You can turn notifications off in Profile, reply STOP to any text, or use the unsubscribe link in an email. Sign-in codes are sent only when you ask for one.

8. Your information

We use the details you give us, and those of the friends you refer, only to run the program and to serve the customers who ask us for service. We don't sell them.

9. Ending participation and changes

You can close your account at any time by contacting us. We may pause or end an account, remove rewards, or end or change the program at any time, especially for misuse. If we change these terms, we'll update the date above; using the program after a change means you accept it.

10. Limits

The program is offered as it is, without warranties. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you under the program is limited to the rewards you have earned and not yet received.

11. Michigan law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Oakland County, Michigan, unless the law requires otherwise.
